Play-Doh is one toy that needs no explanation. It is a classic that we all know and love (for the most part;)). Not only is it super engaging for young kids, but it also has endless creative possibilities, which makes it a powerful therapy and learning tool. Teachers and therapists often incorporate it into their lessons to build a variety of skills such as strengthening hands, turn-taking, and even letter formation.
I put together a list below of some of my favorite (and most unique) playsets by Plah-Doh that I hope you will love as well.
Please note: I am a participant of the Amazon Services Associates Program and have included “affiliate links” for all the toys. 1) Academy Tower Builder
Why I love it: Academy Tower Builder is one of the only sets that comes with activity challenge cards to incorporate critical thinking and problem-solving while sculpting. How cool is that?!
2) Florist Shop
Why I love it: The Florist Shop is a unique theme from many other playsets by Play-Doh. Also, how fun is it to personalize bouquets that you design while pretending to be a florist?!
3) Barber Shop
Why I love it: It’s super clever! Watching the hair “grow” as you turn the handle is an absolute blast. Also, love how it comes with all the tools needed to actually cut hair. You can learn more about the Barber Shop playset here.
4) Noodle Makin Mania Set
Why I love it: The Noodle Makin Mania is an exciting and open-ended playset that allows children to explore with"cooking." I’m also obsessed with the different realistic-looking pasta that you can create.
5) Grocery Goodies
Why I love it: What better way to learn about grocery shopping and different foods than by making them yourself?! With Grocery Goodies kids can make anything from a container with berries to fish to cereal pieces. Super amazing!
6) Doctor Drill N Fill
Why I love it: This dentist set is truly remarkable. From the toothbrush with a toothpaste stamp to the roller with braces, everything is so well thought out and adorable allowing for endless creative fun.
7) Colors and Shapes
Why I love it: Typically, children who play with Play-doh are preschoolers who are simultaneously learning colors and shapes — combining the two makes for an engaging learning experience. You can check out the Colors and Shapes playset here.
8) Kitchen Creations Magical Oven
Why I Love It: The realistic looking (and working oven) will engage kids in endless pretend play as they sculpt and bake their creations.
