What you need to know: Rat a Tat Roll is my new favorite board game! Seriously, its a lot of fun! It is recommended for ages 6 and up.
Why I love it: It requires probability, decision making, and reasoning to play.
Rat a Tat comes with a game board,
a Catue of Liberty figurine
15 tokens,
4 dice, and
45 number cards.
The goal of the game: Collect five cards that add up to a lower number than your opponent's. To do so, players must choose how many dice they need to roll to have a higher chance of landing on a lower number card. Along the way, players will also need to make several decisions using probability about which cards to keep and which to put back.
Skills this works on: Attention, thinking ahead, following directions, remembering rules, counting , reasoning, and inferencing.
