Templaytes are beautiful wooden shapes designed to promote creativity and open-ended play for kids young and old.
The way you use them is up to you!
Kids will create designs, learn about geometry, discover symmetry, build visual spatial skills, and work on problem-solving as they play.
Also, look at this fancy packaging…
Love the rich colors!
The green is my favorite!
What would you make out of these shapes?
I had an idea to build a Christmas tree and this cool 3D boat;).
Another cool thing about Templaytes is that kids can practice hand eye-coordination and motor control while stacking the pieces on top of one another. Check out my attempt below…
Exploring and playing with Templaytes is guaranteed to keep kids so busy that they will forget about screen time (at least for a while).
Oh, and if you aren’t super impressed yet, Templaytes also come in a chalkboard series! Yep, it includes chalk too. Not only is this super fun, but it also allows kids to work on fine motor skills as they write and draw on the shapes. Practicing drawing and writing on a small surface area is great for kids who have a hard time writing small or staying within the lines.
Love the pretty packaging here too.
Another fun thing to do with young kids is to practice tracing the shapes which works on hand eye coordination and encourages the use of both hands together as one hand traces while the other hand holds the shapes in place (bilateral coordination). You can then work on scissor skills to cut the shapes out.
The play possibilities are endless.
You can even create letters.
