What you need to know: Snail Sprint is AWESOME!

In more detail: Snail Sprint is a board game for ages 5-99+.

The goal of the game is to help the snails (on your chosen card) race to the podium to take first place.

Snail Sprint comes with a board game made up of 3 interlocking puzzle pieces, a podium, 6 snails (with magnets), 2 dice, 12 race cards, and the tin base (which is also the box of the game).

Here are the snails and dice.

This is the podium,

and here are the 12 race cards with 3 colored snails on each of them.

The magnetic stickers are attached to the base of the snails.

They allow the snails to climb onto the tin case without falling. The game board continues up and down the tin base! HOW COOL?!

Here is what else you need to know:

Each snail has a symbol that matches to one side of the dice.

The game begins with all snails at the garden starting point.

Each player draws a race card, looks at it, but does not show it to the other players. The goal is to try and get the colored snails on your race card to the podium first (logic is involved).

Now you’re ready to play.

The first player goes by rolling the dice. One die shows which snail to move and the other shows where to move it. It is up to the player to decide how to best perform the move on their turn.

For example, here the yellow snail is moved to the pink circle.

Up to 2 snails can be stacked on top of one another (as you can see below). There are a few other rules to follow so make sure to read the instruction manual carefully.

The game ends when 3 snails reach the podium. The snail that takes first place gets 3 points, 2nd place is given 2 points, and 3rd place receives 1 point. The player whose snails score the most points wins the game.

In this case the player scored 3 points for getting the blue snail to the podium first, 0 points for the green snail since it was not on their card, and 1 point for getting the yellow snail to 3rd place.

Oh, and the game board is double sided. Side A is easier than side B.

Why I love it: Snail Sprint is an innovative and engaging board game for kids and adults. It requires problem-solving, decision making, flexibility, and perseverance. The vertical concept of the board game will be motivating for younger children and keep them focused on the game.
