What You Need To Know: Beware Of The Mole is an interesting new board game for preschoolers that requires kids to follow directions, sustain attention, match colors, and make decisions.
It comes with 4 wooden stands known as baskets (see below) with slots,
20 wooden pawns which consist of 4 moles and 4 types of vegetables,
a wooden dice with 4 colors and 2 moles on the sides,
and a wooden board game with slots.
The idea of the game is to be the first to fill ones “basket” with vegetables that match to the corresponding colors.
To Play: Insert all the vegetables into the board game by matching the colors of the vegetables to the slots, and then insert the 4 moles to the corners of the board. Players then take turns rolling the dice and placing the vegetable that matches the color on the dice into their basket.
But BEWARE! If you land on a mole you must remove a mole from the game board and insert it into any one of your slots in your basket.
You can free that space only when you land on the mole again!
Why I Love It: This game comes beautifully made with sturdy pieces that won’t easily break or tear. The directions are easy to learn and the game is engaging to play. It is a great introduction to board games for young kids.
